Not every hard day calls for the same kind of help. Some days, you need forty-five minutes with people who understand. Other days, you need fifteen minutes with one person who'll ask the right question.
Our services are built to match the moment.
At Proactive Peers, the community isn't an add-on; it's the foundation. You'll join a judgment-free circle of people walking a similar path, where wins get celebrated, and setbacks get talked through honestly. Members tell us the difference isn't the advice they get; it's being around people who don't need the situation explained to them.

Speaking a hard thing out loud tends to lighten it, even before anyone responds. Our audio-only groups give you that space: no camera, no pressure to perform recovery for an audience, while still connecting you to people who understand exactly what you're describing. Some members talk every session; others listen for weeks before they say a word. Both are welcome.

Once a month, we bring in an outside voice a clinician, an author, or someone further along in long-term recovery to cover ground our regular groups don't always reach. These sessions tend to introduce a new framework or tool that members carry into their individual work afterward.

Some conversations need more room than a group setting allows. Our one-on-one consultations are private, focused, and built around your specific situation, setting concrete goals, mapping out action steps, and checking in on progress over time. This is the closest thing we offer to a dedicated point of contact: you'll work with the same advocate session to session, not a rotating cast of strangers.

For the days you need a quick, focused check-in rather than a full session. A short space to release what's weighing on you and leave with one small, doable next step.
Get Help NowOne full hour with a guided peer group. You'll share as much as you're ready to, hear from others working through similar circumstances, and leave with more perspective than you came in with.
Get Help NowRecurring fifteen-minute check-ins, built for consistency rather than crisis response. This plan works best for members who've already found some stability and want a steady, low-pressure way to stay accountable.
Get Help NowNo. Some members arrive mid-treatment, some are years into recovery, and some are just starting to consider whether they need support at all. There's no entry requirement beyond being willing to show up.
Yes. What's discussed in a session or consultation stays there. You're also welcome to join under a first name or initials if that feels safer.
Proactive Peers isn't an emergency or crisis service. If you're in crisis or considering self-harm, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or call 911. Our team can help you find ongoing support once the immediate situation is stable.
No, our pricing is out-of-pocket and intentionally kept low relative to typical therapy rates, since we're a nonprofit built around accessibility rather than billing through insurance.
You'll receive a confirmation with your session time and a link or call-in number. For one-on-one consultations, you'll be matched with the same advocate for continuity going forward.
No. Proactive Peers is peer support, not licensed clinical treatment. Many of our members also work with a therapist or treatment program, and we'll always encourage that combination rather than positioning ourselves as a replacement for it.
If you're unsure which option fits, a short call is usually faster than reading through every plan on this page.
